Concept motorcycle models emerged from the desire of manufacturers to showcase future developments to the public. Every manufacturer, when inventing something new, wants to demonstrate this creation to society. The motorcycle sphere is no exception to this.

Bringing something new to the field of motor technology requires organizing a demonstration of this novelty to the public to attract the attention of people interested in motorcycles, and even better - investors. This is precisely the task that motorcycle manufacturers accomplish through the concept model of their developments. Typically, these models cannot perform the functions of a means of transportation and are samples intended for research, testing, or simply as exhibition models to attract public attention.

Are there many concept models?

At the moment, there are more concept designs for motorcycles on paper than there are ready-made models altogether. Not always is it possible to implement the intended idea due to a lack of technologies or resources for accomplishing the set tasks during production or development. Large companies find it easier to engage the public with this method - they have enough funds and experts in the company to develop a concept for a certain model. That is why some models transition from drawings to the stage of assembly into real test motorcycle models.

What are the peculiarities of concept bikes?

There are countless answers to this question because the possibilities for ideas during the creation of motorcycles are endless. Perhaps the most popular idea was and is the concept of motorcycles with spokeless wheels. According to the concept, this method of wheel attachment to the bike has numerous advantages:

• a large braking lever due to a larger contact area of the brakes
• improved handling due to a wider attachment of the handlebars to the wheel
• attachment allows significantly lowering the center of gravity of the motorcycle
• increased comfort due to reduced vibrations at attachment points

It is also worth noting the attractive appearance of such wheels. Although this idea is still not very popular due to the high cost of implementation during the assembly of the finished vehicle, such "novelties" can already be seen live. Can one become the owner of a concept?

In this case, it is worth noting that concept motorcycles often cannot be used as transport. They are used for tests, the results of which are invested in further upgrades and developments, as well as for the company's PR to attract investors. In this case, you will have to say goodbye to a substantial sum of money by investing it in the company's developments, for which you may be rewarded with an exhibit of its concept model. 

In other cases, one has to wait for the serial production of similar equipment or develop and assemble their own concept motorcycle.
